Dr. Verghese is a Harvard-trained pediatric cardiologist with additional subspeciality training in advanced cardiac imaging, including fetal echocardiography. He moved to Orange County in 2021 and has been practicing part-time at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA). Most recently, he served as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and as a leader in the Heart Center at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. He completed his general pediatrics, pediatric cardiology, and advanced cardiac imaging training at Boston Children’s Hospital, the primary pediatric teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. He holds a medical degree from Albany Medical College, where he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical school honor society. In addition to his clinical work in pediatric cardiology, Dr. Verghese has a strong interest in clinical quality improvement and patient safety, having served previously as a Medical Director in the Center for Quality and Safety at Lurie Children’s Hospital and currently as a physician clinical quality leader in a large global telehealth organization.
